Step 1: Trigger on new staffing request

The Workflow activates when a staffing request enters the system—whether from a CRM opportunity, SOW upload, or internal initiative—and extracts role requirements, skills, seniority, location, dates, and margin targets.

Step 2: Normalize and enrich the request

Cassidy maps requested skills to your organization's taxonomy, resolves synonyms, and flags any missing constraints like clearance requirements or travel expectations that need clarification.

Step 3: Search and rank internal candidates

The agent queries the Knowledge Base of consultant profiles, embedding both the request and candidate data semantically to produce a ranked shortlist with match explanations, availability windows, utilization impact, and risk flags.

Step 4: Human-in-the-Loop review and negotiation

Resource managers receive the shortlist in Slack or Teams, adjust ranking weights, run side-by-side comparisons, and initiate manager release requests—all with full audit trails captured for compliance.

Step 5: Create soft booking and route for approval

Once a candidate is selected, Cassidy creates a tentative allocation in your PSA, then routes rate or margin exceptions through the appropriate approval workflow before converting to a confirmed booking.

Step 6: Generate ATS requisition if needed

If internal supply is insufficient, the Workflow auto-generates a job requisition from the staffing request, complete with screening questions and compliance text, and pushes it to your ATS or preferred suppliers.

Step 7: Sync systems and trigger onboarding

Confirmed bookings sync to calendars, project codes, and billing systems while onboarding tasks—access provisioning, NDAs, client trainings—are automatically triggered for the assigned consultant.
