How Cassidy automates using AI

Step 1: Trigger on inbound RFQ email

The Workflow activates when a new RFQ arrives in your shared inbox (sales@, quotes@). Cassidy extracts the customer, due date, quantities, compliance requirements, and attached BOM files from the email body and attachments.

Step 2: Parse and scrub the BOM

Cassidy ingests Excel, CSV, or PDF BOMs and normalizes the data—mapping headers, standardizing MPNs and manufacturer names, validating quantities per assembly, and flagging any missing or ambiguous line items.

Step 3: Enrich with part intelligence

The Workflow pulls lifecycle status, RoHS/REACH compliance, parametric data, and obsolescence alerts from your Knowledge Base and connected data sources, scoring each line for risk and identifying approved alternates.

Cassidy produces a branded quote with line-item pricing, lead times, alternates, exceptions, and T&Cs. The quote is emailed to the customer (or posted to a portal) and logged in your CRM with follow-up tasks and SLA timers.
