Ingests claim submissions from the portal or email, checks eligibility against warranty terms, cross-references product specifications and service history, and outputs an approved, rejected, or flagged decision with notes for human review.

Workflow steps

Step 1: Ingest claim submission

The Workflow triggers when a new warranty claim arrives—whether submitted through your customer portal via a Webhook trigger or received as an email through an Outlook or Gmail trigger.

Step 2: Validate against warranty terms

Using Generate Text with Cassidy Assistant, the Workflow checks the claim against your warranty policies stored in the Knowledge Base, confirming coverage dates, eligible products, and applicable terms.

Step 3: Cross-reference product specs and service history

Cassidy pulls relevant product specifications and the customer's service history from connected systems, building a complete picture of the claim's context and any prior repairs or issues.

Step 4: Determine claim decision

Based on the validation and cross-referenced data, the Workflow uses Paths to route the claim to one of three outcomes: approved, rejected, or flagged for exception handling—each with detailed notes explaining the reasoning.

Step 5: Flag exceptions for human review

Claims that fall outside standard parameters or require judgment are sent to a team member via Request Input from Team, keeping a human in the loop for edge cases while approved and rejected decisions proceed automatically.

Step 6: Log decision and notify stakeholders

Once finalized, the Workflow logs the outcome back to your claims system via API request and sends confirmation to the appropriate parties, ensuring full visibility and audit-ready documentation.
