How it works?

Ingests product specs and catalog data, maps items to suggested HTS codes with rationale and source references, flags tariff and duty exposure by market, and routes recommendations to the compliance queue for review and approval.

Workflow steps

Step 1: Ingest product data

The Workflow activates when new product specs or catalog updates are added—via a manual trigger, scheduled sync, or webhook from your product management system.

Step 2: Analyze product specifications

Cassidy uses a Generate Text with Cassidy Assistant action to parse each product's specifications, materials, intended use, and origin details—drawing on your Knowledge Base for company-specific terminology and classification history.

Step 3: Map to suggested HTS codes

The Workflow matches each product to the most appropriate HTS classification, generating a rationale and source references for each recommendation so compliance teams can see exactly why a code was suggested.

Step 4: Flag tariff and duty exposure

Cassidy evaluates each classification against current tariff schedules by market, flagging products with elevated duty exposure or potential compliance risks that need closer attention.

Step 5: Route for compliance review

Using a Paths action, the Workflow routes flagged items and recommendations to your compliance queue—sending high-risk classifications for immediate review while lower-risk items move through standard approval.

Step 6: Notify the compliance team

A Send Email or Slack message action alerts the appropriate team members with a summary of pending classifications, risk flags, and links to review and approve each recommendation.
